Howdy.

OP - it is possible. Here's one approach likely the simplest - 1 SPST ISO relay, and a few 1N4001 silicon rectifiers, a fuse/holder, etc.

Here are a couple diagrams fer reference:

The trigger point to force autolamps on is Pin 2 on the Main Headlight Switch ^^^

The relay you need to add should be fed from the wiper switch:

Here is where it gets a bit involved - some positions are mutually exclusive (e.g, 'Low' and 'High'). Hence, you'd need a diode from pin 1 and pin 2 to the relay coil to provide the 'OR' function. You probably need to meter the switch to determine the best approach here to reliably drive the relay.

The relay N.O. contacts go to the aforementioned Autolamps trigger point - one side to a switched, fused +12v source, and the other to the trigger. Recommend an inline diode there as well to mitigate any backfeed.

If this is not clear, keep asking - but recognize the risks of hacking yer wiring IF yer not comfortable/experienced/adpet at making such modifications.

Good luck

Thanks. This is probably the way to go. Looking for such a solution.

I guess so... if you can't remember to turn them on yourself.

PS - I think Dirt's solution would be best for you - DRL is the ticket.

Y'all stuck things other than cords in outlets. I just cut a lamp cord off, stripped the wires, and then plugged it in. Biggest spark of light and blast felt when I connected the two wires together.

I used two padlock keys, one in each hand, one in each side of the outlet. That was jolting
