Default Disconnecting battery

I don't know what's going on. I've replaced batteries on tons of cars before without a problem, but this is the first time in my F-150 and for some reason I can't disconnect the negative terminal.

Is there some special way of doing this on the F-150?

This shouldn't be this hard and I'l be it's probably something very simple, but I can't figure it out.

Thanks.

The batterys on these trucks are different than most

1. Loosen clamp
2. remove cable..

Hope this help

There shouldn't be any issue...I hate the stupid clamps on newer vehicals though.

I loosened the clamp and it does move a little from side to side, but it wont lift off for some reason.

try and loosten it a little more. And you really have to yank the **** out of it cause of all the battery acid and what not. Just keep twisting side to side until its loose enough to come off.

Mine was the same, what i did was stick a flathead where the bolt tightens and twisted the flathead just enough to loosen the clamp.

I loosened it more, yanked the crap out of it, and even tried the flat head idea. Still won't budge.

I looked closely at the negative pole and it looks like there is some kind of lip halfway up preventing the whole thing from lifting off.
