Does anyone know why these trucks don't already come leveled out

Payload and towing specs from the factory require the rake. If they say it can haul a thousand pounds, they don't want it squatting significantly.

I have hauled a 16' trailer loaded on many occasions with no problems. My truck has had a level kit on it since the first week after I bought new 6 years ago.

I would say it is well worth it. There are ways such as airbags or aal if you want to keep it level when towing or hauling. They just wouldn't want to sell something when you load it up, your headlights would point to the sky. Check this thread about my airbags.
