This video shows your Engine Air Filter.

Just a note, most of these trucks do not have a Cabin Air Filter unless you make the modifications to add one yourself. So you might already be looking at the filter you want.

Cabin Filter on an older F-150? I'm surprised as my 06 doesn't have one-was told Ford didn't install them at the factory till at least 2008. Perhaps someone added one to your truck.

I was told when I picked up my 06 it had one, my book says to change it...
after spending half a day beating my knuckles off every sharp edge under the hood removing this and that looking for it, even behind the glove-box, I KNOW I do NOT have one now...

2004 to 2008 Ford F-150's did not come with a cabin air filter. If some repair facility is changing it and charging you for it, you're being ripped off.

To the original poster: please share where the cabin air filter is on your 2004 heritage F-150 is.

This makes me wonder why they spend the money on the printing of the books letting you know to change it " if equipped " if none have them? I assumed some did and others like mine did not... Thank you for the info, I really could have used it years ago though. LOL

2015 was the first year for a cabin filter

Yeah, the manual also said to re-pack the front whl brgs on my 06 2wd. Well, it's a one piece hub and you can't take the brgs out at all. Errors the proofreaders missed I guess.

Most of these documents are "cut and paste" from a master file, then edited to fit a specific model. Oversight on some of these issues I guess.

I was pretty positive I didn't have one either but when a mechanic from the Ford dealership said the cabin filter needed to be replaced I said I'll do it myself. I guess thats why he's no longer there. Lol. Thanks guys!!
