Default Diesel swap.

A while back I read a thread where a guy pulled a twin turbo diesel out of an LCA delivery truck. I was wondering if anyone knows of this thread? It could ahead some light on what he did. I'm thinking about doing the swap, with a 4bt because there is a lot of info on it. That being said a twin turbo would be a lot nicer than than a 4bt.

I know this off subject, but I love your front grille and wanted to know where you got it, and if it was a pain to put on? Thanks

I honestly don't know. I bought the truck with like it sits with the exception of the front bumper. Someone said that it was a plastic one from eBay. I like it but its plastic and doesn't fit flush. And bugs me. One day ill either heat it and bend it flush or just go with a different grill. My .02

Wiring doesn't suck when swapping in a 6bt or 4bt.

Do explain to me? i know you usually need a new insturment panel, but i want to keep mine(i like it) so wondering if thats possible? Any info on it you can give me or links would be awesome. thanks. im just trying to weigh the idea of it. eventually my engine will go (hopefully not for some time) but it will go. i love my truck and am trying to plan for the future. its a lot easier to collect things over time than have to drop a lot of money at once.

I'd go for a 6bt. The 4bt will vibrate your truck to pieces, well it'll do that to anything you'll put that engine in. I read a few threads about how a guy did a 4bt swap and him and the lock tight salesmen where on a name to name basis. So if you're actually do the swap, you should look into the 6bt before the 4bt
