Default Delay in shifting....TRANSMISSION PROBLEM?

So I’ve been noticing an issue with my 2005 5.4 FX4....

it started when shifting from reverse to drive... a 2-3 second delay for drive engagement presents its self when shifting from reverse to drive.

now I’m noticing a delay in shifting when flooring the pedal.(high revs and a hard shift)

If I baby the pedal it seems to drive “okay”.

Drove it up to 90mph on the highway this morning.

NO CODES / transmission fluid is a translucent red color and at a good level.

i have an edge evolution programmer that I’ve had for about ten years now. It’s screen seems to be fading a little I don’t know if that’s an issue or if it’s just getting old.

any ideas as to what’s going on?

Dropped the pan, fluid is dark and magnet was dirty... all my check ***** look great, over drive servo is still in place with a good looking snap ring....

im at a loss... I’m gonna reassemble this weekend.

anyone have any advice before I rip the tranny out?

Dip stick plug came out with the pan... it’s never been dropped before

Ordered this so I can drop the pan again with less mess

Sounds like a bad accumulator. Their typically the culprit for a delayed engagement issue

I’m going to remove the accumulator today for inspection. What should I look for? Besides the obvious broken springs etc.

also I can’t seem to find the part with the springs included will this work?
