Default Deceleration Question

Hey guys, I just bought a 5.4 2007 F150 FX2 Sport with 24k miles on it. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this, when I hit the brake to start decelerating as the rpm's drop it will jump up while I'm slowing down, not alot maybe like 100 rpm's. Now it keeps dropping, but every once and awhile it will just jump up 100 rpm's or so and then continue dropping.... is this normal? thanks.

Its just the tranny downshifting, all automatics do that but most people aren't watching their tachs when braking enough to notice, hell most people do ever look at the tachs anyway (people besides us truck enthusiasts of course)

haha the only reason I noticed is because all I have ever had is Manual's so auto's are new to me.
