i think there is a relay or fuse controlling them. Pull that and they should turn off.

When i turn the switch to OFF, and put the truck in drive or reverse (any gear but park) the low beam lights come on, but are dim, not full power. What i am looking for is that light to be off during the day. Hope that gives u a better idea what i am looking for. I know on my old chevy, to shut the daytime unning lights off, i just pressed the park brake pedal down one notch.

There is a fuse under the hood for daylight... I took off mine, they will still come on when you hit your inside switch for night light... i can't remember witch fuse it is but it's on the driver side under the hood.

On my 05 the daytime running light resistor is located on the driver side rad support. If you move the rubber beside the headlight you should see it. Just unplug it and that will solve your problem.
