The sensor for the outside temp is located in front of the truck. It is strapped to the metal bar that runs vertical in front of the radiator. You might try to check the connection to the sensor, or even if the sensor is there.... they might not have placed it back on the truck when they were putting it back together.

So since it's 57 degrees I took a look this is what I found, the lower module in the picture was plugged in but the upper plug has nothing connected to it...any ideas?

I had to replace mine 04 lariat, from ford was 28 bucks iirc .. Works fine now. And it's the upper sensor on the verticle bar. Has like a nipple on the top.

I've had that same problem with mine for around 4-5 months. Now, an engine light came on and I had a friend hook up his ODB scope. My truck is getting a temp sensor error, wondering if it might be this same issue, or if its the sensor under my intake (which I really don't want to mess around with).. Might check this one first and go to the intake one afterwards......

Mine was Never replaced after the repairs, went to the shop they threw a new one on for free. It is the one on the top of the vertical cross bar in front of the radiator, it just plugs in. The bottom one is the air bag sensor.

I figured I guessed right. Sometimes the small stuff gets overlooked when they put them back together....

glad it works now!!

Could someone post up a part# for this? The in-dash temperature readout on my truck is constantly wrong, and by wrong I don't mean 5-6 degrees, I mean by about 23 consistently lol I'm guessing the sensor has gone bad or something of that sort.
