The wrinkles are why I took it off the center part....

I just trimed around the vents and will try to get rid of the wrinkles with a heat gun... should do the trick.. It looked good around the vents but it just would not stay. too much of a streach.

Hey Upload your Camo design and I will see if I can find it.

OH Here is some CAMO......

How well does the vinyl stick to the textured plastic?

the areas that I did are not textured much.

The area between the passenger airbag and glovebox is textured but you take it all the way off and wrap it over the edge and that is doing good.

the only area that is a bit loose is the area below the steering wheel.

So I took the plunge and bought some from the same guy. Not sure how it compares to the 3M DiNoc but so far I am both pleased and disappointed. I spent a lot of time removing the center dash stack and carefully cutting and stretching the vinyl over the part. Installed it back in last night, and already there are places pulling back up. Heating it seems to only allow stress relief where you have stretched it a bit resulting in bubbles in what was previously flat. Now I am wondering if I have made a mistake Are you having similar issues? I will have to post pictures tomorrow.

Yes, that center stack area gave me hell also, I have removed the vinyl from that area.. the power point area was the problem.

picture of the dash just installed:

Picture a few days later, and also of the doors. Basically replaced all of the Ford "carbon fiber" with better fake "carbon fiber"

In the First picture around the AC controls at the top you can see where it is starting to lift.

In this forum a guy wrapped his console with a fabric and not the vinyl. Maybe this would work better??

That area was a major pain,, Maybe if you trim releif cuts on the back side where it goes into that area it would not be under so much stress...

But that stuff is much better looking than the OE fake carbon fiber. .

Very Nice job lining up the fiber pattern between the radio bezel and the ashtray. Nice craftsmanship. I'm ordering some 3m DiNoc Carbon fiber next week. I decided to not get the stuff you got Nobman after hearin how it was coming up on you... hope by spending a few extra bucks on material, i'll get a better result.

thanks for the compliment. I did spend quite a bit of time trying to get those patterns to line up so glad it shows! Please let me know how you make out with the DiNoc, interested to see if it makes a difference.

As for relief cuts, I did make cuts past the visible portion to try and help it get around the openings for the vent controls. Not sure what else I could do.
