Cylinder removal

Studs on exhaust manifold are a real problem in it self
You really need to remove fender skirt to get access and fight bolts to remove manifold . . Most people plan on replacing studs with stainless steel type . transmission dip stick is bolted to head also . I don't think its a good thing to try and remove head with manifold on there ,manifold is expensive and fragile but I haven't tried it . Others on here have removed heads so I will defer to them . Ac lines etc would seem to prevent a good try .

Probably going to have to purge the A/C and move the one line that's in the way. accumulator will swing out of the way with the bolts removed.
I think you'd have to get all the cylinder bolts out of the head , and then *maybe* you'd have a chance at getting the head and manifold out in one pull. Hope your back is strong...

Just to update... The heads come off very easily with the exhaust manifolds. And they go back in with no problems. Both Passenger and drivers sides. Much easier to work on the manifolds out of the truck. No need to disconnect the A/C.
