radio not working

Default radio not working

2006 ford 150 i live on dirt road an after awhile with it being so rough the radio started turning off an back on a couple times. then all of a sudden it just quit working while i was driving. all fuses (1,7,22,31)are good even changed just to make sure. everything else in truck works just fine. any ideas?

Check the connections on the back of the head unit. If they’re secure, and all fuses are good, it’s probably time for a new head unit. The OEM units can be failure-prone and expensive to repair. If it were me, I’d go aftermarket.

I was thinking that. I took the receiver head out of dash an found some change my son put inside it. Needless to say upon further inspection I found a burnt resisters inside the unit.

I’m not that tech savvy, but you might be able to repair it. Maybe you could get a used unit cheap. They pop up in the ‘for sale’ section from time to time.
