Default Custom interior light question

Hi everyone! I'm new here and this is my first post.

How bad is it to drill a small hole into the A/C tubes behind the dashboard? I want to but some LEDs so at night they the vents emit red light. It is bad to put a hole in there?

BTW, I have a 2005 F150 FX4 regular cab.

Wow, thanks man. I can't wait to get started. I've actually tried pulling out the A/C vents before but didn't have any luck. I think I'm too worried about breaking them. How hard should I have to pull on them?

i believe you have to take the face of the dash off, the vent and the surround is usually all one piece. at least that way you KNOW you wont break anything.

Make sure you dont drill too far, the flux capacitor's wires are secretly run inside those air vents. If you hit one, you never know where you might end up.

If I shine a flash light inside the vent from the cab ans I don't see any wires can I assume it's safe to drill?

I was totally kidding dude. ..unless your truck was retrofitted with a flux, you won't have one. Only one guy does this risky of an install, and he is REALLY hard to get a hold of. His name is Doctor Emmett Lathrop "Doc" Brown. Fictional character.
