Default custom air intake

ive heard its possible to make your own air intake system for cheap, possibly a hardware store or parts wharehouse. i was lookin at my factory system and found that i could drill a hole in the aftermarket tubing for the sensor to go in, but what about the MAF? it is placed in a joint coupling that connects the filter housing to the main hose coming from the throttle body. how do yall propose i get that to work?

Just do the Gotts mod. Simple and same benefit. I built my own because I didn't like the one with the blower. Heres a link to the pics

i just need to find a piece of tubing that will replace my main air intake tubing, i have a k&n filter. but i dont wanna buy the k&n tubing cuz its too expensive, i just need to buy a piece of tubing to fit my throttle body. i will have to drill a hole for the sensor to go in, but that wont be a problem
