Question Brake interlock switch/Solenoid seem OKAY !!!

Ok Managed to peek in the solenoid without disconnecting. As pic shows there is no burn out or discolour to indicate a bad transistor. To recap my shifter moves from park only while pressing the brake(behaves as it should) Part 13480(brake switch) also seem okay. Now there is another switch up to the left from part 13480...is that speed control cancellation switch..if I remember right its a blue color one..could that be the culprit.? Thanks folks.

I fixed my 2004 F150 today it took some work. On the TSB it says to check the BOO signal with the engine off but in my case I had to run the engine and actually had to drive it and then the interlock switch actted up.Also my truck has a floor shifter. I included some pics of my bad interlock switch. The cruise control works great now LEASE READ I fixed my 2004 F150 today it took some work. The interlock switch seems to be working fine now. Can it go into gear normal and still not allow me to set the cruise?

Adding to the pool of information here. First thanks to all for posting their finds as this lead me to solving my intermittent cruise control problem on my 2003 Ford F150. After a few days of chasing different possibilities. I started with the simple switch at the master cylinder but this did not solve the issue. Next I tried the clock spring and still no results. Next was the steering wheel switches. Still no good. Finally, I did a test drive and pulled up on the brake pedal with my foot while trying to activate the cruise and it worked as long as i was putting upward pressure on the pedal. I pulled the under pedal switch, popped it open and cleaned the contacts then reinstalled and the cruise is working every time now. It could be that the rod connecting the switch to the brake booster is the issue but its working now. Hope this helps. I would recommend that anyone else facing this same issue try the switch before spending the money on the clock spring unless you are seeing dash lights indicating the spring needs maintenance. Stay safe all.

Post Fixed my cruise issue with the Actuator Assembly

I just received by assembly yesterday. I popped the console cover off and took out the four screws (but didn't take off the shifter cable) and leaned the shifter to the side and removed the old assembly and installed the new one in about an hour(taking my time not to break anything). That did the trick. Now I have to depress the break pedal to put it in gear AND my cruise now works. Thanks a million. Here is the info. Hope this helps someone else.
