So I have been having issues with my CC for the last few years. When its cold\cool out it works fine, If its warm\hot out it keeps kicking off automatically. Any Idea why? I have 04 lariat 5.4

That sounds like a vacuum issue. Small crack at a vacuum connection or in the line itself will cause the issue you described.
When it get hot it expands allowing the crack to open enough to reduce vacuum. When cold it "shrinks" or retracts thus keeping the crack closed.
I would look at the vacuum lines before getting into the electrical connections.

there was recall on some units during those years. I remember we went to the dealership and they changed something with the cruise control. may want to check that as well.
