Default Cost of Blacked out or Murdering a 2006 f150?

So basically this is my truck. (I also have chrome on the handles)

I'd like for the end product to be this

I'd like to know around how much that would cost and if its worth it to sell my current truck and my F250 and just buy one already blacked out.

Just buy some plasti dip and do the rocker panels and bumpers with that. Also works for wheels, emblems, and bed/tailgate covers. You can replace the entire door handles or just the grab handle part and sell the old ones.

I do not recommend blacking out tail lights as it's dangerous to you and others, but niteshade the tails will get them darker. Some people overdue it and they look completely black.

Either buy some inexpensive Harley style headlights on eBay or open up your current ones and paint the chrome black. If you buy new ones, make sure to use clear silicone around the edges prior to installation to prevent condensation on the inside. You can then sell your old lights.

You can find you a black grill and sell the old one. Paint the grill surround with plasti dip.

So if done correctly, you could get away with spending no more than $150 after selling old parts. Plasti dip is $6 a can and will cover most of the non-black areas.

I'd say that's much cheaper and easier than getting into a new truck.

If you've got a lariat or KR with painted bumpers it would be easy if you are comfortable doing a little sanding and painting yourself. I did my chrome grille surround myself. The black can be had from Advance Auto or OReilly from DupliColor fairly cheap. Buy some of that and some good clear and do it yourself. Nightshade the tails but just don't over do it. Check my build thread in my signature for a good example. Like the other guy said doing your own headlights is pretty easy, I did mine.

You can use plasti dip and they have a special clear coat for it as well. If you're only looking to repaint the truck then you're talking about a much larger sum of money.

I think plasti dipping it would look... Tacky.

I agree that's why I say get the DupliColor color match and do it right!
