Question Cooper HT Plus

I have been putting off buy new tires for quite some time now. I have a set of Scorpions on my truck now..and I can attest to all the complaints everyone has had about those. I'm not here to complain about those, i am here to see if anyone has a set of these Cooper HT plus on their truck and to see how well they hold up. Like i said I got a full set of 275/60/20 for $560 out the door installed (awaiting them to come in for installation). I am hoping for the best. seeing as i don't go off road at all and the only thing i really need to worry about is snow. these tires can't be any worse than the Pirelli's..

I have had them on my truck for about 10k and love them. I have a 2wd and they have been through muddy creek crossings, snow, ice, rain and never let me down and when they wear out I will buy another set. I will also put them on my Expedition when the time comes. I am very critical of tires and at 42 years old, these are my favorite by a landslide. Also they are American made!!

Thanks for the insight... It's always good to hear real world experience.. Can't always trust the reviews on the tire sites.

I had them on an Explorer Sport Trac that I just sold and I liked them. I have actually had a total of four sets of similar Cooper Disccover (CTS, HT etc) on my truck and SUV over the last few years and have been overall happy with them. I have done a lot of research on them over the years and there seems to be an overall consensus, well maybe not consensus really because like any tire there is such a wide variety of reviews, but it seems overall things seem to indicate they provide good traction and decent ride but you will not get as much mileage out of them as some of the other brands. I bought all of mine assuming that might be the case and that is pretty much how it has worked out, great traction, good ride, but shorter than rated life, but with the cheaper price I have got them all at, the cost per mile still works out cheaper than other brands for what seems to me like a decent tire. I try to wait to order them and combine a sellers rebate and manufacturers rebate and end up with a pretty good deal. As it stands right now as soon as my F150 needs tires that is probably what I will go with.

Well just installed the new Cooper HT plus on my truck today. even though I have only driven about 10 miles on them..Holy crap what a night and day difference. They look great too. stick out about an inch from the wheel well and have a pretty decent tread pattern. so far i"m very impressed. Pics or it didn't happen!

I've always had good experience with Cooper tires, plus they are made in Merica!

I hope they serve you well as my previous Cooper's have .

There is a Cooper Tire plant about 2 miles from my house here in Merica but Cooper also manufactures tires in China, Korea, and other parts of the world.

^^Correct, but the Cooper tires you buy in America are made in America. Who cares if they make tires in China and sell them in China......

I dont think that is always the case one set I got for the SUV were not, I ordered them online via eBay. Also I seem to recall reading that they shifted some of them overseas and import them. Not to say they are not a good tires, like I said I have liked them.

Triton54HD do yours say Made in USA on them?? Also a pic would be great I am pretty sure that will be my next set of tires.
