How Does This Thing Work. It Seams If I Get This Thing I Need To Have Someone Tune It For Me Or At Least Thats What I Get From Reading All These Different Threads. Does It Come With Preset Programs? you purchase a flash tuner (SCT Xcalibrator 2/3) from one of the dealers we have listed about eleventeen million times, tell him your mods, he writes a file and sends you the tuner.

Dont even bother with an Edge Tuner, its crap.

 

A custom tune is what you want. There are multiple reported tranny issues regarding the use of a canned Edge so I'd steer well clear of them. Not everyone has issues, but there have been enough reported that would definitely make me not want one. Trust me, go custom with your tunes, you will never regret it.

 

i am sure there are other people out there writng custom tunes.... but it seems from previous threads that troyer performance has a real good thing going.

I have asked questions and had them answered in a good honest way from the people at troyer. They have been doing this to long to be doing it wrong.

 

can somebody please tell me all the custom things the SCT will change?

 

*sigh*. "everything".......not just the WOT parameters, part throttle tuning, trans lockup, line pressure AT point of shift, spark tables, etc. Is that good enough?

 

is it possible to update the sct off a computer? Say I buy one and decide that I want Troyer tunes do they just send them via email? and is it easy to update or change the tuner? I know I can search but there a people on here I hold there opinions higher.

 

yes you can have your tunes sent via email. many people elect to have their tuner sent to them while they wait the 2 months for troyer to write their tunes

 

if you are running vista stand by to get f'd in the a, the sct forum was full of vista no workie type stories and ill agree as i cant update or use any sct files on my vista hp.

 

i used vista to load my tuner with my custom tunes. no problems at all.
