Default computer reflash??

I have a 2005 f-150 4x4 crewcab and the problem i am having is the whole throttle delay issue that alot of people say the edge programmer will fix along with the computer reflash, but the other problem is the transmission...it just seems slow.... it shifts fine and smooth its just when i come out of a slow corner and get on it its like it has a delay just like the throttle and then it kinda clunks into gear and takes off. I was just wondering if the edge programmer or computer reflash will correct these issues....Thanks Russ

did you try resetting the throttle position sensor. if not try that first.

what you do is:
key to the on position but dont start
push gas pedal to the floor slowly till it stops
then let go of gas pedal quick.
turn truck off.

repeat 4x and it should help.

My 2004 fx4 150k does the same thing, shifts great all other times but out of a slowdown curve/corner getting back on the accelerator I get a noticeable pause/rpm drop and then it gets back to business as usual. I'm planning a full flush/service this month but I know it's not a service issue.

It's stupid is what it is. A century making vehicles and can't get it right...

For the original question, most programmers, including Edge, can alter the way your truck shifts more to your liking. You can change shift points, torque converter lockup, how fast and hard it shifts, and a lot more. Someone else can probably point to a detailed thread. The edge has a canned tune that tightens up the shifts nicely. All that said, make sure you don't have a transmission problem, first. Doesn't sound like you have tranny problems, but it's always worth trying the cheap stuff first!
