i have an 05 4.6L and want to put in a cold air intake, i want the best but at a good cost. What is the best system i should put in, and get the most bang for my buck so to say? Thank you! also will it add a good sound?

Just my opinion @ under 250 bucks these are all cheaper than most and trick flow is a well respected brand in performance parts.

Then there is always the hack mod which is free.

on my 05' with the 4.6L I have the K&N system. It did increase throttle response, and yes it does make a little noise, but its a pleasant noise.

not at all, I have some mechanical skill, but not alot. It took me a half hour. Really all it is is a few screws and pull the old one out and pop the new one in.

Intake doesn't produce a real sound any one can really notice.. There is a sond but its not that noticeable to the untrained ear. lol

I have the S&B CAI on mine... it made a noticable difference in acceleration and it totally completed the sound of my truck.
