Default Cluster Swap

Maybe I missed something you guys can help me figure out. I read all the post I could come across concerning the cluster swap from an XLT cluster to an FX4 cluster. I understood it to be basically plug and play with a few minor issues that may or may not come up. I have an 06 XLT and put an 07 FX4 cluster in. Plugged it up and everything worked perfectly with the exception of the AC. A/C only blows hot air. In the previous post I had read said that issues was caused due to the automatic climate control. I have the three ***** in the middle of the dash with a/c on/off button and the button for recirculate. I looked in the owners manual and it shows a picture of the manual AC and that's what I have. Any body have any ideas?

I think I figured it out. The guy I bought it from said that the donor truck had automatic adjusting air. Probably should have thought about that.

You need to use one from a truck that had manual ac if yours also did. Swapping clusters from trucks with auto ac to trucks with manual ac is not compatible.

If I remember correctly, there is one pin that you need to move to make it work. I don't remember which one.

If anyone happens to know what pin Igorek25 is referring to, I would appreciate the insight. The gauge cluster I got looked and worked perfect, Hate to send it back if there is another option.

Yeah, like the CarProg or Digiprog III. You connect it to the contacts on the back of the cluster, and change the mileage to original one.

Here is where you need to connect the tool (I stole the image from eBay)

Cheaper to go to the dealer to have them flash your cluster than to buy those tools that Igor is talking about. Plus, I assume it is illegal to program your own mileage.
