i have a lifted 04 f150 and it hasnt always been this way but the 4wd has gotten very clunky and jerky i plan to do the fluid and see what happens even though it hasnt been that long any ideas? or just nothing to worry about dont want something to break cant fix it now

 

explain...clunky and jerky ... You will get a clunk when selecting 4hi and 4 lo this is normal...and when your operate your truck on dry pavement it will be jerky when you try to turn...does this explain your problem ??

 

it makes alot more noise than any other 4wd i ve ever driven and hasnt always done it and i ve never run it on pavement in 4wd even offroad it does it with tire slippage which usually it runs the smoothest but it doesnt go away even after being in 4wd awhile and doesnt do it any different in turns or straight
