Default clunk during takeoff

Well i noticed that after coming to a stop and accelerating i can feel a fairly sizable clunk. My first thought was the slip yoke needed grease. I crawled underneath it just a few minutes ago to do this but my driveshaft doesn't have a slip yoke. I don't know what this could be now any ideas?
I also noticed that my pinion seal looks to have just recently started to leak. Its not oily all the way back, just around it.

I have a 2004 4x4 Lariat.

Check your U-joints for play. As to the wetness near the pinion seal, if it's not forming drops and just looks damp, I wouldn't worry about it yet.

In the other hand, the pinion bearing could be a problem as well, and that would cause both issues.

SImplest check first, U joints.

Oh, im sorry i forgot to mention that, there is little to no play on the shaft. Everything there seems solid, Im worried the rear end may be going out, im probably going to pull the differential cover next weekend when i pick up some fluid and gasket

Can you check the pinion bearing without tearing it apart?
I can change fluids, but after that my mechanical skills drop off

In that case it would probably be better to take it to a mechanic and have them check it out for you. (no insult intended, and not trying to be a smartass)

Is your driveshaft a 2 piece?

It could still be your u-joints. I doubt it is your rearend. You can also check to see if you have any axle wrap too.
