when I wash my truck I take a wet rag and run it over the engine when I am finished washing the truck. My engine is as clean as the out side of my truck but it has only 2000 miles on it right now.

My Nissan is a different story. I just use engine cleaner and a very light wash with cold running water. do not pressure wash it or use any pressure from the hose nozzle, water can get pushed into places where water shouldn't go.

+1 purple power which is like simple green works great too. it gets all the grease off. just make sure you do it on ur lawn or in the street it messed up the driveway.

That wont really do anything other than cause you to have to reset the radio and clocks. Just make absolutely certain that you get no water into the spark plug wells. Water No Compressie if it manages to get down into the cylinders. I'm sure you know the less drastic results of water in the spark plug wells or intake.

You also need to make sure you do not let water sit on the engine. It will get down by the plugs and increase the oxidation and make the plug change a guaranteed nightmare.
