I got some dry mud in my engine. I know I can spray it as long as I keep the pcm dry. What's a good way to get the dirt off especially the plastic around the wires and etc...

I cleaned everything on my motor. It didn't mess it up at all. I just took it to a car wash sprayed engine cleaner on it and then rinsed. I also left it running while I done this.

Just get some engine cleaner at auto zone or wherever? Let it sit or what?

I just went to a car wash and set it on engine cleaner. Sprayed it down real good. Then put it on rinse and my engine bay was pretty freaking clean. Reason I left my truck running is incase my coil packs got wet I wouldn't have to worry about it not starting. I would take it to a car wash so you can pressure wash it.

I use simple green on my engine bay. Let it sit for awhile then spray it down but on a mist setting. Never spray direct pressurized water in your engine bay.
