Hey Guys;
Just bought my first ford in the form of a 2008 STX. I purchased one of the chrome inserts for the grill and it looks AWSOME. I was wondering where I could buy the chrome piece that goes around the grill. Mine is black, and Id like to replace it with chrome. It looks like an easy swap, but havn't been able to find one

First off, welcome to the Ford family and to the best F150 forum on the web! The part you're looking for is called the grille surround. You can post an ad in the classifieds under the title "Wanted to buy". You might also be able to trade someone for your black surround. Ebay is also another place to look for one. Let us know if you find one....they're a bit tricky to replace as they're held on with plastic clips that tend to break if not done correctly. I've changed a few and I use three to four flat screwdrivers to do it and have yet to break a clip. Feel free to ask for help, that's what we're here for!

 

Where do you live, might help you get some offers for trades.... I know I'd trade my chrome for black.... Gonna eventually paint it black if we ever get spring weather.

Thanks for all the great replys. I have some level of expertise with "another brand" and they are HIGHLY modded, but never owned a ford before, so I have a lot to learn.
Can't deal with anything stock, so I will be asking LOTS of questions
