hypertech is one of the best companies in my opinion. If you can find a company that customizes the programer for you that'd be great. my brother had a hypertech on his 250 and he got his truck to over 700 ft/lbs torque and over 550 h/p. ...diesel's way different though. I'm putting a JET module on my truck Tuesday (just ordered it). http://www.jetchip.com/products.asp?pid=21695

i'd stick with either hypertech of Jet myself

just from reading here on the forum I am assuming some of the other brands dont let you program the shifting of the tranny. Not sure but i have heard some say tranny going bad is associated with certain programmers. I realize that alot of them are changing so that tranny can shift without tearing it up.. that is why I want the xcal3. Plus troyer perfromance knows f150's probably more than any company out there. So this isnt one of the golden rules just an opinion.

I bought a pro comp tuner and when I got it i looked and it said "hypertech" right below pro comp so it's basically a hypertech tuner. I didn't notice any difference between stock and the power tune. The only thing that tuner was worth was recalibrating for the larger tires.

Xcal is the best. It was developed by a Ford engineer. Teh edge is the tuner that eats up trannies.
