I don't have experience with superchip, but with the Edge Evo, its a Chip but its also a monitor that sits in a neat little pod on your dash that looks nearly stock and lets you see all sorts of parameters they didnt stick on your instrument panel such as Tranny Temp, Intake Air Temp, Cylinder Head Temp, and many more about 23 parameters to view in all.

But what you do with a tuner is you are able to manipulate things such as Shift points, Shift Firmness, Torque Converter Lock Points, Wide Open Throttle Shift points, Wide Open Throttle Fuel, Timeing, Gear Ratio, Tire Circumference(To Calibrate your Speedo for larger or smaller tires), and many other things.

The main thing you do is advance your timeing to make better use of High Octane fuels, because w/o advancing your timeing you gain no benefit by just throwing Premium in your tank.

If you want to see some pics of the Edge Evolution Power Programmer, check out my Garage! Picked it up for $350 and have been very happy with it!

I would go with the edge evo or the gryphon (re-bagged edge evo with custom tunes)

I'd buy the cheapest used programmer you can find (make sure it isn't locked).

Besides the gauge displays a couple of them have, most are going to be very similar as far as performance gains.

My Superchips FlashPaq 1815 makes a night and day difference in my truck.
