Default Check this out!!!!!!!

Putting new spark plugs in my truck and this is what I found. How the hell would this happen, the dealer put these plugs in for me, is it something they did??? Now I'm worried about that little piece of steel, that's down on top of my fu%ken piston.

It probably went out the exhaust valve if you have been driving it so don't worry about it.

Likely is out the exhuast valve, it's possible it's indented into the piston. I have seen that before on diesels with injector tips breaking and leaving part of the tip in the piston... In which case the engine ran another 5000 hours(approx 100,000 miles) or so hours before needing a rebuild

Do you have an V8? Have the plugs been changed before? Those rear plugs are a b!$ch to get too...some shops openly admit that they won't attempt to change the back plugs. If you've got lots of miles on your rig, I'd imagine that this plug has looked like this for awhile and is probably out of your system by now! Hope it works out for you!

I thought about that, I hope so! number one cylinder is the closest one to the front on the passenger side right? it goes 1, 2, 3, 4, on passenger and 5, 6, 7, 8, on drivers side right? I was getting a misfire on number 5 nothing for number 8. only about 5000kms on these plugs, the truck has been missing since they were put in, so i got another set. only 70,000 on the truck.

That's the correct cylinder ID...
