Default Check fuel cap sensor again

So I recently changed my fuel cap on my 06 f150 about a month ago, and my truck only has 56700 miles on it and my sensor went off again this morning, anybody else have or had this problem? What the hell was the fix?

See if the fuel filler neck rubber couplers are split/loose/cracked. There's also a charcoal canister I believe that captures the fumes. This could be the culprit as well.

I have this issue with the wife's Taurus.

It didn't like the aftermarket fuel cap, had to buy an OEM Ford cap.

What is the actual code? If you are basing this on a CEL then it could be anything.

Some of the new instrument clusters show the fuel cap as a separate light completely.

Cool. didn't realize they had a sensor just for the cap. Would have thought it would throw a evap system code that would cause a CEL

I've never seen this on any of the 04 to 08 Ford F150 clusters.

Mine comes on too. It reads "check fuel cap" in the info box where it displays current mpg and other info. 05.

My truck threw that sensor for a day and then stopped... Not sure what the deal was.
