Default check engine light came on, pulled codes

pulled the code p0403 which is "Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Control Circuit" from what i have found on the internet. where should i go from here? is it something that needs to be replaced or cleaned?

truck is 07 with 4.6l motor if that matters

Well I cleaned the connector and the cel comes on within minutes of clearing the code. Does anyonknow if he electronics can be swapped without changing out the whole valve? Or is thereany type of warrenty on the emissions system that's different from the normal warrenty?

I posted this link for you, the person didn't give an exact code, but it was EGR related. Read posting number 8, it refers to some sort of sensor being replaced instead of the EGR valve. Might help you?

i appreciate the try but the problem they are talking about is lack of flow through the egr which is p0401 i think. my problem is with the electronics themselves.

if i cant find a cheap fix im going to have to go to the dealer. i have an extended warranty with $100 deductible so might as well get my squeaky door fixed too

while doing a google search i read that the basic warranty is 3 years/36k miles but the drive train warranty is 5 years/50k miles. is this true and if so, would the egr be part of the drive train since its part of the motor?

well got lucky....so far. dropped the truck off this morning at the dealer, they just called me to tell me the egr is covered under the powertrain warranty. after they fix it they have to test it and see if anything else comes up.
