check arm/ door stop problem
Just got a 2004 FX4 with 160K. Been going over it to find all the little things that need taking care of.
SO when I open the driver door the check arm/stop allows the door to open so far that the front door edge is hitting the bottom hinge. I already found the part I need but I would like to know how to replace this bugger.
Making some progress otherwise- the fuel door (broken spring) and FPDM (corrosion) will be here tomorrow.

Door check is pretty simple, just take the nuts off the check, reach in from behind, it's kinda tight. In the emergency brake area, you make have to push the pedal down to gain clearance. Pull the old one out, new one goes in. Tighten bolts, I used a little thread locker, found the nuts loose couple weeks after
