Default Changed Intake manafold

Got a 08 f150 4.6l stock truck. The intake leaked on the cross over so I replaced the whole manifold from rock auto. assembled the parts and as soon as I put coolant in it leaks form the rear passenger side alot. Need the truck so wife can use the car to get around out here. Anyone have this issue?

Did you get OEM or Dorman? Sounds like a gasket got out of place during install maybe.

Default I heard some orig intakes leak on the front crossover had some kind of lawsuit.

I haven't pulled mine for any reason .Would it be a bad gasket ,torqued down to spec's ? May be 18 foot pounds ,its plastic use torque wrench
I know one guy got his with paint on surface , he had to scrape off . The head surface should have been cleaned very well . We used to use a new wet stone fine side to polish surface . Don't leave gouges from putty knives and screwdrivers mostly you use plastic putty knife .
Look at service instruction for your year
Jegs has this instruction http://www.jegs.com/InstallationInst...26-615-175.pdf
I'm sure some 4.6 guys will chime in .

Glad you figured it out and don't have to remove the intake to check the gaskets.

Default yea no messy removal

It is hard to see back there. I got some fluorescent work lights to put back in that area when I' m there. still a lot of clean up with all that antifreeze that won't evaporate .
If it was for your wife no wonder you were in a hurry .
