Default Change of unit of measure

Hello.
I have a friend who pick up an F-150 5.4 from the year 2005. The truck is an XLT.
the message center reads the distance in miles and the temperature in farenheite.
We live in Europe and we use the kilometer and celcius.
Since the truck is an XLT we do not have 3 buttons like the FX4 the lariat or the king ranch.
Is there anything that can be done to change the message center unit? A manipulation on the truck?
Or can be with Forscan?

thank you in advance

I believe that holding the button in the instrument cluster for about 10 seconds will get to the settings. I know its possible to change compass calibration that way, so I assume changing the unit display can be done that way as well.

This should be in your owners manual.

I downloaded the owner's manual.
But I did not find anything about it for the xlt.
I find the explanation for the FX4 the lariat With the 3 buttons.
But nothing for the xlt.

I don't think you can change that stuff in a regular XLT

It's really annoying.
And the XLT sold in Canada does not count in Celsius and KM?
