Default CD Player

I have a 2005 F150 4x4 xlt lariat that I bought a year ago and everything works but the cd player. it worked for a few months then everytime I put a cd in it just says reading disc and then says disc error. Is there a fuse I need to change or something to fix this because I'm at a loss right now

Sounds like it’s time to replace the unit. If you wanna stay factory, I’d suggest the 6-disc MP3 unit. Bout the only good option my old STX had lol.

Otherwise, the possibilities are endless if you wanna go aftermarket.

Agree with river.. you can find a used OEM 6 disc pretty cheap.. and it will be plug and play.

I'd try a CD cleaner. You might be able to find one st Walmart, prior to trying to swap stuff out.
