CCFL vs LED Projector Headlights, please help
Hi all. Installed Recon's dual led halo projector headlights on my 08' F150. When i purchased the product i had done very little research and had taken someones word that they looked and worked great. What i was looking to achieve was a BMW/Audi halo look. Something i could use as a DRL. After the installation i realized they were not very bright during the day, and barely visible during the night. My guess is that there is only one LED inside each halo ring and they don't light up the entire ring. Will CCFL Halos fix this problem? Are CCFLs brighter then LEDs? Which one lasts longer or is a better product. My gut says LEDs all the way, but if i could post a picture of my lights you would see just how pathetic the halos are during the day. Unfortunately I'm new to this site and still figuring things out. Any information on this topic is greatly appreciated, big or small.

If you venture taking apart your headlights, which you may have to anyway to replace the LEDs, check out these

I'm working on a projector retrofit on a friend's Camaro and she wanted these behind her shrouds. They're bright for sure! And they come in a variety of sizes, not sure what the Recon's would need.

If your taking about recons other version with the CCFL yes they will be brighter by far. If you wanna open them up and replace the haloes then I would recommend using morimoto XBa led halos from The retrofit source
