Default CARR steps or full length bars?

I've been looking at going with either CARR steps, or full length 'nerf bars' or running boards (whatever you want to call them).

I have a 2004 SC 8' bed with payload package (GSA 'special') and want to make it easier to get in/out of the truck.

The one thing I am concerned about is the fact that I'm 6'2" and 340#, not a small fella by any stretch of the imagination..and am wondering about the flex/support offered by each type.

Just curious what you guys use, or don't use, and experiences you've had with either CARR, Westin, or cheap stuff on Ebay..

Thanks.

I have the nerf bars on my 05 Scab 4x4 and I am 6'1" 255 and they support me fine. Personally I like the bars better than the steps.

I think if you get steps you will regret it in the long I would definitely without a doubt get the full length nerf bars. I pick up a set for my previous f150 on ebay for less than $200 and they were stainless. I might add that I am a big guy myself 6'2" 260# and I have never had to add or buy anything extra so that I could use the step bars on my truck so I think youll be fine with just the normal bars
