I was just wondering if anyone had any trouble with their trucks after they used an edge programmer or any programmer for that matter my truck is starting to idle weird and a code came up that said the throttle something was stuck open and the truck would not accelerate but i shut it down and when i started it again it ran fine but would idle really weird i bought some throttle body cleaner and sea foam and i used the sea foam yesterday but no smoke at all and that kinda confused me as i seen someone say that the white smoke is the sea foam burning off and ive heard some say that its the carbon buildup being burned off through the exhaust im not sure which is true but i know i had not one puff of white smoke and today im going to clean the throttle body and check if its worn out becaus i also seen that may be a problem i hope not because i dont want to spend a lot for a new throttle body but i guess if that the case o well i need my truck to run right but anyways i was just wondering if anyone else had any problems like this before i took the programmer off to see if it helped any i didn't figure it would but its worth a try.

 

Naphtha burns white, and Seafoam is primarily this so it can burn white smoke. If the O2's can cut enough fuel and allow it to burn fully then there's no smoke. Pure carbon will not "burn off" in a motor's conditions.
The programmer itself won't cause the issue. You set it back to stock and it did the same thing so it's not tuning related. These throttle bodies are notorious for sticking in their gear design. Cleaning the plate will do little to help if it is the gears, but can't hurt. Look into getting a new side for the throttle body and not just the throttle body itself.
