now that I think about it I didn't need them for my FX4 cause it was only out .8 and 1.0 it was my Expedition that needed the camber adjusters.

Sorry...but you can still get them from Napa like I did.

I was watching him while he was doing it. . The camber was in the red. It was at -1.3 on the driver side and -1.7 on the passenger side.

Excuse my ignorance, and ATOM be nice to me, but I see 3 things wrong with this thread..

[1] I'm not mechanically smart like most of you guys
[2] I have a 2 1/2 level kit that I did myself
[3] Talk about a tire falling off

Can anyone explain to me what a "camber bolt kit" does and why or how I would know I needed one?

I took my truck to Firestone and had it aligned and they said everything was fine.

you only need a camber bolt kit when they cannot get your truck to within factory spec using the stock adjustment bolts. then you would need a kit that have more adjustment than stock. most newer trucks won't need them, but occasionally some will. nothing hightech or nothing, here is a kit. but in your case they were able to align it, so it does not apply to you.

ahhh...Thank you very much.

I just didn't want to be driving down the road and my wife say "hey that looks like your tire next to us".

no, it's just an alignment part. now if you balljoints are junk, losing a tire may be possible, lol,

Yes installed my leveling kit, took truck to cousin that owns an alignment shop for 30+ years I did watch him put his gauges on my front hubs. Both front tires had a neg 0.7 -and there is no way to adjust camber, caster and toe in only. OK heres what he did- took out the back lower control arm bolt-(front lower bolt has a slot for caster setting only)- ground a slot toward middle of truck 1/4 inch, that allows camber to be set and saved me from having to buy a "camber kit" took just about as long. Bascically the same principal.
