Default Calibrate compass

A few questions about the truck compass. Has anyone ever calibrated their truck compass? Was your compass off? Did you see a difference? Just curious if I'm going to drive circles in a parking, if its worth it, though I don't think my compass is even off.

You can calibrate it if you like, but IIRC, it's also self-correcting, as you drive.

seems like i remember seeing in my owners manual that you can calibrate it, but mine has always appears to be roughly correct. Once again I dont use it for actual navigation, but just look at it now and again to make sure it thinks im going the direction I know im going. LOL

Actually, more than once I've had directions to go to an intersection and turn east, or south, or somesuch. It has come in pretty handy for figuring out which direction that is. Especially at noon!

You need to upgrade to the new and improved 2005 version of directions that tells you to turn left or right.
