Default CAI

Forgive me if this has been asked before. I've read through here a lot and never seen anything about it, and that may be because it could be stupid.

Is there any disadvantages / drawbacks to having an aftermarket CAI in a clod weather climate? I put mine in over the summer and I kinda remember someone say it will be interesting to see what happens in the winter... Sorry, I was drinking.

That's how I look at it.

The CAI's are a huge waste of money. You can get the same power results with the Gotts mod and use the money you save for a programmer.
