Have you plugged your tuner into your computer yet? Don't yell at me if you've done this already, but the company says plug the tuner into the computer first, so it can update and transfer your info ( in case there's any issues they can see). Once there, there's the custom tune option. Now I had to call because the sight froze, but depending on what year your truck is, mine is an 05 you should have 5 or 6 tunes to pick from. K&N, airaid, volant, etc.. if you have the right year.
They only go up to year 10 I think, so if yours is older you should be all set.
They are cheap too, my airaid tune was $7.99. Good luck, btw I have have flowmasters with the airaid intake and neither did much until the custom tune. Now it's like I thought it would be when I bought it new in 05.

So with your airaid, flowmasters, and custom tune... It got your truck back up to stock?

Sorry, if I confused you. I have been frustrated with how my truck has run since day one, basically it was unresponsive and slow as hell. So after exhaust, intake and now the tuner it runs great, Like I expected it to run when I bought it.

Besides who are we kidding? We mods cars/trucks for POWER not mpg. :-)

I was amazed by how different the custom tune was over the canned tune. The canned "performance" tune was okay, but the custom "Cai performance" tune really did the trick.

I havent ran performance yet because it says to run 91 octane with the performance. Do you have to run 91 with either the cai performance or the canned performance or is 87 ok too?

No I've been putting in 93, I tried using 89 and it started pinging. So yeah, just to have my truck run good, costs me an extra $5-$10 a week.
