Default A/C help, a weird one

ok this is the skinny, I turn on the air to feet and dash in position 1 or 2 and there is no air coming out regardless of whether cabin air or a/c is on.

If I move the air flow to a position higher than 2 air comes on at the level expected. Level 3 air or level 4 air, as though nothing is wrong. But if I move to level 2 or 1 it goes dormant for air flow. All the lights stay the same.

Around this same time I noticed that if cabin air is off and I'm in some position other than MAX A/C the exhaust smell comes in. I think that is unrelated though.

I took the air panel and traded it with a buddy of similar year and the problem was still there. I tested my switch with his truck and it worked fine. So its not my switches, its something down stream. I'm stumped as I no longer have alldata

by the way the answer on your signature must be Darrel Issa. How do you know if a politician is lying? His lips are moving

The question is rhetorical, but we'll leave the politics in OT..

Glad you found it, they're a relatively common failure item.
