Default A/C 5 second cycling

My A/C was blowing nice cold air, then nothing when I went to use it yesterday. The A/C compressor kicks in for 5 seconds then shuts off for 5 seconds then repeats. Is this due to it running low on freon or is it something else?
I replaced my door actuator due to error code I've had for quite a while thinking possibly it's connected, but obviously it isn't, which i kinds thought it wouldn't be.
Just wondering if anyone else has run across this same issue?

Yes, I would say short cycling typically means the charge is low, so it kicks on but then the compressor sucks the low side down below the low pressure limit and the switch opens. Then after it turns off the low side pressure rises and it can come back on, then it just repeats over and over.

If your system is short cycling, and is low of refrigerant, it most likely has a leak. Have the system looked at and correctly re-charged with refrigerant after the leak is found.

Refrigerant doesn't run out without a leak.
