Default Bushings Kit Recommendations

2004 lariat 2wd.
Looking for a upper control arm, outer tie rod and lower control arm bushing kit.
OEM spec
the lower control arm would preffer just the main bushing vs the whole arm.

i realize that a simple search on google yields tens of various kits.... but is there a brand or two in particular that most of you guys agree are the better ones to go with?

thanks in advance

I got all MOOG stuff. But beware, those LCA bushings are horrible to get out. MOOG makes a tool to use to press them out but I didn’t get it. Had my mechanic get them out but in hindsight using the tool or just replacing the LCAs would be the way to go.

looking up this MOOG stuff but their website is not the easiest to navigate. also it looks like they sell each part individually and don't have "kits" available....

I think I got all my stuff from Autoplicity. Don’t recall though where I learned of the LCA bushing press tool though. I basically bought and replaced all my suspension parts. But in hindsight I shouldn’t have messed with the LCA bushings. Are you sure yours are bad?

yeah, my upper, lower and outer tie ball joints are completely shot. all rubbers are completely broken all around and you can flick the pins around every which direction with no resistance. if anything they bounce back and forth
kinda worried any of them might just break off completely.
i'll check out autoplicity and see what they got

Try RockAuto as well. Very popular around here and you can narrow down what fits precisely. That's also where I bought my MOOGs and they were a lot cheaper on their website than elsewhere. Even Amazon.

by the time you buy the LCA ball joints and bushings you can spend a few more bucks and buy the whole LCA and save yourself or mechanic a whole lot of PITA work.. trust me. rockauto had kits but, i don’t think they were MOOG because i had to buy separate also .. I think the kits were made by Movtech if i not mistaken.

so figured out the MOOG website and found all the parts... through their website you can choose to see prices at 3 local stores. pep boys, o'reileys and advanced auto parts.
pep boys had the lower prices off the bat by a few bucks plus a 25% off on top.
this is the price sheet with the more expensive control arms http://prntscr.com/m2bkfk
and this is the price sheet with the cheaper control arms (OE) http://prntscr.com/m2bjqj
$300-$350 vs. $110 bucks from 1AAUTO .... http://prntscr.com/m2bl6i

techrep, i was thinking about not changing the other bushings on the LCA.... they didn't look to bad visually ..... but idk... i guess buying the whole LCA might make the job doable for me and a friend instead of taking it to the mechanic.... that would be a plus...

i'll check out movtech and rockauto now too

on autoplicity they are cheaper. this is the price sheet with the "more expensive" control arms and shipping included http://prntscr.com/m2bsjj

rockauto - $248 shipped .... i think we are reaching the sweet spot THANKS guys
