Default Brush Guard Question?

I have been looking at brush guards and it seems that our front ends are problematic. You have to move the guard to open the hood. Are there any that you don't have to do this and that offer good protection and look good on our trucks?

I have a big country on mine and have no problems opening the hood. This what the local sheriff's office use on their vehicles.

Then where does it mount?

All the bull bars and brush gaurds I've seen mount in place of the tow / rescue hooks.

It attaches to the frame. If you look under the small warn lights you can see the tow hooks.

I've never heard of the hood not being able to open because of the brush guard. I have an Aries Offroad guard and the hood still opens and I have my tow hooks. The way it mounts is the mounting brackets go between the frame and the tow hooks. I love my Aries, but wish I could have got a Ranch Hand. The only reason I didn't get the ranch hand is because it only came in black, and it wouldn't look good on mine with the chrome accessories. My dad has a ranch hand and that thing is stout. My Aries has a tiny shake at highway speeds, which is the only thing I don't like.

I guess the ones I saw were cheap then. I thought they all were like that.

I have a ranch hand. The hood opens just fine, it looks great, and is very sturdy and strong. Mine doesn't shake at all. I just don't know about the tie hooks thought.
