Broken Minifold Bolts
I have a 2003 F150 5.4 Triton Super Crew. Like nearly every 5.4 it developed a tick. Scared about the horror storied i've heard about blowin the spark plugs, I got em checked and they were misfiring so i changed em out. But upon start up I still noticed a tick. Realising I also had a leak in the manifold I retorqued the bolts and of course one snapped. Wanting to do away with the exhaust manifold altogether I ordered Hedman Headers, (shorties) but what kind of trouble am i in to yank the manifold with the broken bolt?

ok i just had this problem and this is how i got it out and didn't have to pull the manifold but you need the right drill
first i hit it with pb
i let it sit on their for about 10 min
than i took a drill bit a little less than half the size of the bolt and drilled a hole in it look at the bolts that you already have out so you know how far to drill in i tried to go a little more than half way in
no when your drilling it out it is vary important that you drill as straight as possible so you don't hit the threads
now you need a screw extractor
push it in to the hole that you drilled and twist it to remove the bolt if its coming out hard spray it with more PB and try again be careful not to break the extractor
