Dropped my truck off this morning to get my new 2.5" HBS leveling kit put in and got a call a half hour later that I have a broken driver's side coil spring. (passenger side is fine)

I didn't notice any difference in driving or noise or anything recently so this was kind of an unpleasant surprise.

Truck is an '04 FX4 Supercab 127k
Anyone ever heard of this being a problem on the 04-08's?

 

Yeah they are known to break.

 

Ford has had problems with coil springs breaking for as far back as I can remember

 

yeah that seems to be what i'm hearing from other people two..oh well it does seem to ride better with the new set in..thanks guys!
