Default Breaks Squeak at Low Speed

I have a 2004 with breaks that appear to be in great shape, but they squeak at low speeds like a drive through. I am hearing it more and more. It started off as just a rare squak when I first started to driving to something that is pretty consistant at low speeds.

Does anybody have any ideas how I can fix this?

If its the brakes go and buy a set of ceramics and that should take care of that.

I had a squeak at low speeds like that and took it to ford dealership under warranty and they said it was a part on the wheel and they greased it and it wouldnt do it anymore. I didnt ask what it was exactly as I was in a hurry.

Well I don't know that it is the brakes, but it only does it when I apply them. I'll check into the wheel though.

If you find any issues can you post your solution here? I have the same problem but just felt it was dirt, dust, no anti-squeak on back of pads, or something minor like this. But, if it is something major it would be very good to fix it.

how many miles are on the rotors? and are you a DIY kind of person when you change your brakes? and if so, did you get the rotors resurfaced after you changed the pads? might need resurfacing

I should probably add that I just got the truck a few months ago. I had no issues when I first got it. I have put about 6-7K miles on it.

Also everything having to do with the brakes was brand new when I got it. It turned out that I had the IWE solenoid problem, and my guess was that they couldn't figure out the cause of that grinding noise, replaced everything that they could, and then finally gave up and sold the truck.

I do work on a construction site so I'll try cleaning them one more time, and I read about that anti-squeak issue, so I guess I'll try that as well.

Really sounds like someone forgot to grease the back of pads on install.

Ive got the same issue with pads and rotors with only 14k on them (dealer installed before I bought the truck).

I took the brakes apart and greased the pads a while ago and the noise stopped but apparently the grease wore off/washed away so now they squeak again. Im just too lazy to take it apart and do it again.
